Bar/Restaurant Supervisor

Job Type: Part-Time, Permanent
Salary / Rate: £14 – £15 per hour*

About the role:
We’re looking for friendly, reliable Bar & Restaurant Supervisor to join the team at The Farmers, Baycliff, part of the Chattaway Group – a small, quality-focused family of pubs in Cumbria. We offer year-round work, guaranteed hours, and you get Christmas Day off.

We’re looking for someone on a permanent or long-term basis who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, supporting the team during busy services, and delivering great customer experiences. The right person will be confident taking responsibility, including key holding and cashing up, and will be someone the team can rely on.

Please note: due to the location of the venue, a full driving licence and access to your own transport are essential, as the site is not accessible by public transport.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Supervising the bar and restaurant floor during service
  • Delivering warm, genuine service to customers
  • Serving food and drinks to a high standard
  • Supporting and guiding team members during busy shifts
  • Opening and closing the venue when required
  • Cashing up and handling end-of-day procedures accurately
  • Helping keep the venue clean, organised and running smoothly

What we’re looking for:

  • A positive, can-do attitude
  • A trustworthy and reliable approach
  • Someone confident with key holding and cashing up responsibilities
  • Comfortable working on your feet for long periods
  • Confident in a fast-paced environment
  • Good communication skills and strong teamwork
  • Previous hospitality experience essential; supervisory experience preferred
  • A full driving licence and access to your own transport are essential
